Hedi Slimane, now photographer -better known for being the creative director of Dior Homme (2000-2007), in which was the most brilliant period of the brand-, is having a photography exhibition in the MUSAC, a museum in a city called Leon (northern Spain), until the 7th of September. Today we went to see the exhibition, and surprise! the exhibition were only 10 pictures of Slimane -the pictures were taken in the Benic�ssim International Music Festival in 2007-, as you can see the whole exhibition in this picture:
Hedi Slimane, ahora fot�grafo, -pero m�s conocido por haber sido el responsable del per�odo de extrema brillantez que rode� a Dior Homme entre el a�o 2000 y el 2007- tiene una exposici�n de su fotograf�a en el MUSAC, el Museo de Arte Contempor�neo de Le�n, hasta el pr�ximo 7 de septiembre. Hoy hemos ido a ver la exposici�n, y menuda sorpresa... ya que la exposici�n es esto que v�is en la foto de abajo, solo diez fotograf�as -las fofos fueron tomadas en la edici�n del Festival Internacional de Benic�ssim del 2007, y se supone que son un reflejo de la est�tica de la gente de ese festival, y de c�mo esa est�tica conecta con la m�sica de alg�n modo.

It was quite disappointing after one hour and a half driving... only ten pictures! I thought, they must be kidding, this is not possible, but yes, it was. And as you can see below, the quality of the pictures is not amazing...Aesthetics are not really present, as most of the pictures were portraits of faces or backs, and we couldn't do any digression about the aesthetics. The museum seems bigger than it is, and the rest of the collections weren't really bad -I am not into contemporary art too much, and this museum is only about contemporary art- but the bittersweet taste of Slimane's laconic exhibition was still there, and I didn't enjoy as I expected it.
Honestamente, fue bastante decepcionante, sobre todo despu�s de una hora y media conduciendo... para ver solo diez fotos. Adem�s, las fotograf�as no eran precisamente las m�s incre�bles que hemos visto, y se supone que lo interesante era la est�tica, pero en m�s de una solo se ve�a una espalda, o una cara, sin dejar pie a divagaciones sobre la est�tica. El museo parec�a m�s grande por fuera, y aunque el resto de exposiciones no estaban mal -no soy demasiado fan del arte contempor�neo- el gusto agridulce de la breve exposici�n de Slimane estaba latente, y no disfrute como hubiera querido del resto del museo.
Anyway, the always cool company of my boyfriend, my friend Allure and a friend of us was enough to make the journey worth it. A brief view of the city's old quarter, and the incredibly beautiful stained glass windows of the cathedral, Santa Mar�a de Le�n, which are said to be one of the best stained glass windows in the world.
De todos modos, la estupenda compa��a de mi novio, mi amiga Allure y otro amigo nuestro que tambi�n se apunt� han hecho que el viaje mereciera la pena. Aqu� ten�is una breve vista de la zona antigua de la ciudad, y las vidrieras de la catedral de Santa Mar�a de Le�n, que est�n consideradascomo unas de las vidrieras m�s bonitas del mundo.
