Marion Foale and Sally Tuffin started to open its path in fashion during the Swinging Sixties scene in London. They both studied at the Royal College of Art. By 1963 they were running a succesful business and one of their dresses had already appeared in the pages of Vogue magazine. This exhibition Foale & Tuffin exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum (it has closed now) showed a good selections of their clothes, especially dresses, from the early days of their careers to 1972, when the label disappeared.
Their boutique was located in Marloborough Court, just off Carnaby Street. They opened it in 1965 and soon became the coolest designers in the famous street. The exhibition showed their drawings, photos with models such as Patty Boyd and their celebrated garments, many featuring typical Sixties prints, such as the houndstooth, liberty or polka dots. Marion Foale y Sally Tuffin comenzaron su andadura en el mundo de la moda durante los Swinging Sixties en Londres. Ambas estudiaron en el londinense Royal College of Art. En 1962 uno de sus vestidos apareci� fotografiado por David Bailey en las p�ginas de Vogue y en 1963 ya ten�an un negocio exitoso. Esta exposici�n "Foale & Tuffin", que tuvo lugar en el Fashion & Textile Museum de Londres, mostr� una buena selecci�n de sus prendas, especialmente vestidos, desde sus comienzos hasta 1972, cuando la marca desapareci�.
