Lady Gaga Was Born That Way

Gaga's music video for Born This Way was released earlier today. Directed by Nick Knight, choreographed by Laurie Ann Gibson and written by Gaga herself, the video is a mix of space alien, mildly repulsive special effects and the skeleton tattoo man, Rick! The beginning of the video, focused on the birth of good and evil, used a kaleidoscope effect that reminded me of the prints from Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 collection, a collection which happened to allude to many images of the afterlife/re-birth.

Gaga giving birth! Wonderful! Party!
 Yummy fetus.

Besides the semi-cheesy script in the beginning, I really enjoyed the video.

On a completely different note:

Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011, James Franco is now a Singer

I want to marry Oscar de la Renta's latest collection. It is completely opulent and excessive. I want to curl up in the fur trimmed coats, the silk gowns and mesmerizing patterned fabrics. Recession? What recession? Seriously. It's great. Though the silhouettes are classic, de la Renta adds a touch of grandeur to each piece, whether it be a richly colored, textured fabric or a fluffy fur trim. Even the models' leg-crossing, hip swaying walks exude swank.

On another note, James Franco seems to have reached his 10,000,000th talent: he is now a singer. It's true. He and Kalup Linzy recently recorded a song titled, "I Love You" (Thanks bro luv ya 2!) meant to be used as the soundtrack for Cynthia Rowley's New York runway show. You can listen to the song HERE.

As much as it pains me to say this, James Franco does not have the greatest singing voice.

Mr. Porter, James Franco is a Wizard, Lady Gaga Wears Real Clothes in Vogue

The founders of Net-A-Porter are launching "The Men's Style Destination." Net-A-Porter is one of the greatest online-based clothing sites and obviously, it only touts high-end women's garments. And I guess that's not fair because plenty of men want to luk gewd two. Because Mr. Porter is not yet open to the public, those interested have the chance to become a "Founding Member." Basically, you get access to Mr. Porter before it is launched as well as free shipping during this time period. You also get "seasonal previews," "Mr. Porter exclusives" and "access to personal shoppers for expert style advice" but we all know that stuff is never as good as it sounds.

Before I get to Lady Gaga, apparently, James Franco is going to play The Wizard, as in the Wizard of Oz. This is actually amazing. Robert Downey Jr. was down to play the role in "Oz, The Great and Powerful," (a prequel to The Wizard of Oz; it's the story of how The Wizard ended up in Emerald City standing behind a curtain) but he copped out.

Isn't Franco is already doing tons of stuff like getting degrees at Yale and poop just for funs and giggles?
even gawd needs his beauty rest.

that wasn't even funny.

And now, here are a few photos from Lady Gaga's much-anticipated Vogue cover and editorial. Spoiler alert: she's wearing real clothes and stole Limecat's wig (credit to D-Listed for the reference) except in pink.

P.S. Gaga's single, "Born This Way" will be available on iTunes at 9:00 am, three hours after it airs on the radio!

 Dakota Fanning being churlish

Do you recognize this? Look to the sidebar on your right.

Kitteh!

Also I've been re-watching a ridiculous amount of Freaks and Geeks lately. It is such a good show. I don't understand why anyone would bother canceling a show that features Seth Rogen and James Franco. It's like Pineapple Express except with a completely different plot line and set in high school and like 10 times cooler. Also Freaks and Geeks came first. Plus its soundtrack is comprised of Cheap Trick and Janis Joplin which earns major points.

I <3 high skewl
FYI this picture is from Pineapple Express

I hope you are all having a very merry Christmas.

P.S. I caved and ended up purchasing "We R Who We R." I also bought "Trouble Is A Friend" from the Easy A soundtrack.
