Kit Pistol Hosting Charity Event in LA Friday Night

The Project Runway Season 4 designer is hosting a charity shopping event to benefit Keep a Breast.



Kit is one of six hosts- representing LA fashion - this upcoming Friday Nov. 19th at H.D. Buttercup from 7-10pm.

Here is her meesage: Unique LA and Apartment 3 put together a super cool pop-up shop of various designers, jewelers, and other curious finds. Not to mention H.D. Buttercup is so much fun to hunt around in with great furniture and decor items to inspire and delight! I went to the last event and it was super fun!

ANYWAY! as a host- a percentage of my guests purchases will go toward a Charity i am working with now and very passionate about! Keep A Breast www.keep-a-breast.org

Kit sent along these photos along with the news that Samantha will be wearing a Rami Kashou design tonight as well. I will definitely be tuned in. I have a favorite in the competition....

Kit Pistol - Chocolate Fashion

Hi BPR!

Here are some pics from last night's Chocolate Show! I participated with my fave PR alums, Jack Mackenroth and Kevin Christiana so it was a blast. I was paired up with two artisan chocolatiers from Knipschildt Chocolatier, Torben Bang and owner Fritz Knipschildt. As it was super-hero themed, the costumes were outrageous! Our superhero was Dark Phoenix from the X-Men comics. Our outfit had dark chocolate covered wings, dark chocolate bon bon covered bra and panty, red chocolate wig, red chocolate panels, and dark chocolate phoenix emblems dusted in edible gold dust! What!?!?

And talk about a delicious building process!.... I built the costume at their restaurant in Connecticut, called Chocopology. which is a candy factory basically - they even play Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on the wall! I spent two days there using chocolate fashionably while overdosing on caramel truffles covered in sea salt. Positively sinful!

Also, I should have a new blog and website up soon so I will keep you posted.

Weekend News

Our family traveled to Los Angeles for Fall Break this week and we met up with Kit Pistol and Sweet P for breakfast on Thursday. This is my very happy 16-year-old son, James.

Meanwhile, Project Runway production may wish they had remained in New York.

Even more shocking... Nina's son wears crocs.
Honestly, Lucas is adorable, isn't he? Nina too!

Dear BPR,

I was so excited to be among the editor nominations for Project Runway this season. In preparing for the event, the main question is �what (or who) are you going to wear?� Well, I thought it was appropriate to wear the gorgeous Cord Dress Coat that Kit Pistol made for me last fall. I absolutely love this dress and just to report for the BPR fans, Kit is an amazing designer and so fun to work with. I had fallen in love with the dress from seeing her portfolio from Season 4, episode 1 so she tailored it to my specifications.
All night the dress received attention from people who wanted to know who had made my dress. It stood out in that sea of Emmy gowns! I don�t have pictures on the red carpet because I was just too excited to be there to remember to take photos.
One photo here really shows off the dress nicely. I�m standing with a fellow editor, Michael at our pre-party. The other picture is with Kit at our Magical Elves after-party.

Although our team didn�t win the Emmy, we had a lovely evening and I certainly felt pretty in my dress.
