While We Wait...

BPR friend and artist David Gilmore from Pretty On The Outside is back again with his brilliant Cabernet-influenced Project Runway designer sketches. Suede and Keith receive the first POTO treatment. Check them out!

Spectacular speculator Alan Gratz has his weekly in and auf predictions up. Alan is struggling like we are with the measly preview clues, but that doesn't stop him from trying!

Katherine Gerdes has not abandoned us! She's been caught in a move and is just now catching up with her Season 5 recaps. Click here to see her thoughts so far on S5. Look for the return of Katy's Take on BPR next week!

We received a nice note from PR sponsor and blogger Lisa Gilpin of Saturn reminding us that several of your favorite former contestants are blogging Season 5 at Saturn's Rethink Design site. It's tough digging through Bravo's website to find these, but we're here to help! Blogging for Saturn this season are Alison Kelly, Chris March, Jack Mackenroth, Kit Pistol, and Laura Bennett. Go say hello to Lisa and some of your old faves.

Here's an intersting ranking of former Project Runway designer websites at Urlesque.com. We see some glaring omissions!

Jack Mackenroth is such a good guy...

And finally, here's more on the continuing romance between Wesley and Daniel, including a little rule breaking reveal: But the couple broke show rules by communicating with each other the day after the elimination. Nault passed Feld a note, and Feld gave Nault a silver bracelet. "I later got in trouble for that," says Nault, "because it wasn't allowed." Hmmmm. We wonder what Keith Michael would think of all that!

Tim Gunn and Veronica Webb at the Catherine Malandrino Show.

Reality Blurred rounds up the reviews on Tim Gunn's Guide to Style.

Here is Twistie's review from the new "Manolo For the Big Girl" blog, and don't miss Moi's recap. If any other BPRs are planning to recap the show, please let us know.

Here is an interview with Michael Kors in the Wall Street Journal. Thanks Anne.

I enjoyed this interview with Laura Bennett from Reuters:

Woodstock channeled his inner showgirl when model Camilla strutted out in a bright yellow top hat and matching dress with beaded top and sassy skirt made of feathers.

"I put Woodstock in a little bitty dress. I used dyed ostrich feathers," said designer Laura Bennett, the "Project Runway" finalist from the Bravo show last fall.

But it was her vision of Pig Pen in clouds of light brown tulle and a copper jersey gown that almost stopped the show.

"Pig Pen was a little bit more of a challenge," Bennett told Reuters. "He's known for his grunge aesthetic. I wanted to give him some of my glam."

Here is an interview with Alison Kelly. Thanks Anne.

Here is a little bit more about the "Snoopy in Fashion" Show.

The reviews are unanimous - Laura Bennett's designs are a hit!

Project Runway Designers at Fashion Week

Alison Kelly will be showing on September 6th as part of Nolcha Fashion Week at the Prince George Ballroom, 15 East 25th Street NY, NY 10016. Here is most of the press release:

On Thursday, September 6th, 2007 at 12:30pm, Alison Kelly will set off the Nolcha runway unveiling her highly anticipated Dahl by Alison Kelly spring 08 collection to an audience of fashion elite and international press.

Dahl by Alison Kelly spring 08 collection takes an upbeat approach while staying true to its signature fierce, yet romantic quality her line has embodied with her previous collection. Using colors such as red vermillion and buttery yellow, her new collection offers an array of elegant, yet playful ensembles that seamlessly fold and flow across the body. I dreamt of China in 1920, there was a woman sitting next to an elegantly dressed gentleman in an old Rolls Royce, she was the image of beauty, wearing a beautiful gown of sage green, jewels & lacquered hair. Her eminence comes to life in this collection. says Alison.

For additional information on Nolcha Fashion Week: NYC and Silhouette please contact Christie Pageler: cris@pagelerpr.com or 786.303.9774.

Updates - Heidi, Jay and Alison

Heidi Klum is featured in this New Zealand interview that talks about her work as a curvy model and some special German nicknames. Celebrity Baby Blog brings us the photo (by Steve Connolly for Startrak) of Heidi and baby Henry that you see at the right as well as a photo of big sister Leni. And for more pictures of Heidi out with two of the kids, click here.

Our readers robin and neptunerh told us about the Jay McCarroll documentary, Eleven Minutes. Laura K. remembered the crew filming him at Fashion Week last September. We don't have an air date - yet - but we'll keep you updated. Tom and Lorenzo, among others, can't wait to see this next installment in the Jay saga.

Finally, Alison Kelly is selling clothing on her MySpace. They are interesting dresses that her fans should appreciate.

More Field Reports!

Click here for Malan Breton's report from the Bailey House Event, here for Erin's account, and click here for Glory's report from Project Dahl. Thanks everyone!

Project Dahl

BPR Field Reporters, Nancy T, Sarah T and Eric W visited Alison Kelly's "Project Dahl" event at the Jonathan Shorr Gallery on Friday night. Here is their report:

The moment we exited the subway in Soho, we could tell that it would be an auspicious night for the Blogging Project Runway correspondents. At the top of the subway stairs, a guy handed us postcards advertising a sale and Spring Preview at EMC2, Emmett McCarthys store. Pocketing the cards for later, we braved the ice and walked to the Jonathan Shorr Gallery, where Alison was displaying her new collection of dresses, tops, and jewelry in a show called Project Dahl. Everything shown will be available for purchase on Shopbop in late February.

Alison Kelly is showing her collection, "Project Dahl" on Friday Feb 16th from 6:00 - 10:00 at the Jonathan Shorr Gallery 109 Crosby Street NY 10012 Between Prince and Houston in Soho. Could we get a field reporter?

Attention Aspiring Designers: Bacardi Limon is sponsoring a fashion design contest. Visit FWD for details. (You have to be at least 25 years old.) Good luck and please let us know if you are one of the five finalists.

Here is Jeffrey Sebelia's latest "Cinematical" blog entry. Also, several BPRs reported seeing Jeffrey on E! Fashion Police talking about Grammy fashions. I wonder if any Project Runway designers will have fashions at the Oscars?
