Gisele! GISELE!

I know I promised I would never completely copy my Buzznet posts and stick them on here but I can't help it because we have to propagate the news that Gisele (Bundchen, for those of you who haven't caught on yet) is the new face for Balenciaga's Spring 2011 ad campaign! And Yuri Pleskun will be appearing beside her (actually behind her, "humping" her as New York Magazine put it) as a half-naked forest nymph wearing eyeshadow! The campaign breaks in late January/early February so keep your eyes peeled while flipping through your next issue of Vogue.

I already mentioned New York Magazine's humping remark but this bit of their article was particularly amusing as well:
"But doesn't she look so youthful? And sad in that terribly fashionable way? We like this new side of Gisele. There's no better way to do postpartum than by aging negative ten years."

Ipanema Blogger's Affair: GB Seeds Collection

Last Thursday night, me and my fashionista friend streetsmartchic attended yet another cool fashion event at Le Souffle, The Fort. It was a blogger's affair for the unveiling of the new Ipanema Gisele Bundchen Seeds Collection.

~ The Invitation ~

We arrived at the place at 7 PM, fortunately the event hasn't started yet. We were given press kits and gift certificates each. I traded my GC for a pair of New Fem Thong in Brown Bronze!

My GB Seeds name tag!

Ipanema goes echo-chic with GB Seeds Collection! These stylish flip-flops cares for Mother Earth - the forest-inspired prints, the small spiral emblem which symbolizes "the seed of life", and Ipanema's initiative to share a percentage of its sales revenues to various environmental foundations around the globe.

Food was great at Le Souffle! I haven't been paying much attention to people around me once I started eating. I wasn't even grossed out with the whole slippers-as-centerpiece thing, 'cause aside from the scrumptious food, the flip-flops in front of me were really gorgeous.

Mr. Francisco "Patxi" Elizalde, managing director of ELRO Commercial and Industrial Corporation, introduced the new Ipanema Collection and talked about their mission to help Haribon Foundation in its awareness campaign called "ROAD to 2020" through organizing a walkathon "Walk the Green Mile" to save the Philippine Rainforests.

Instead of the usual fashion show where models strut their stuff on the runway, a stylized ballet dance was poetically performed by the Philippine Ballet Theater group. And instead of wearing ballet shoes, they proved the audience that Ipanema GB Seeds Collection isn't only fashionable but also versatile.

It was a wonderful night of meeting new bloggers and friends, taking home freebies, and enjoying a whole new experience in fashion. :)

2008 US Olympic Team Wears Ralph Lauren

Athletes of the 2008 US Olympic Team showcases their Polo Ralph Lauren parade outfits for the whole world to see. Their stylish march & confidence were matched with the classic Americana outfits.

Ralph Lauren - the designer or the brand itself - portrays an image of class & elegance. Lauren's success throughout the years is a result of his attention to detail and quality control over his designs.

Bonus: I also scanned through some fashion show photos from Style.com and picked the best designs of RL from each collection. Enjoy!

"Snow Queen" - This elegant design is worthy of a title.
The colors used may seem monotonous yet the design still stands out.

Even if this metallic fall combo isn't worn by a hottie like Gisele Bndchen,
it will still rouse envy for all who will dare to look.

Stripes & florals never looked this awesome together!
Truly a trendy & classy outfit in one.

There's too much detail in this outfit, but I love it. The model looks like a pretty cowgirl bride-to-be. Plus, the gold accents made it more striking.

Butt it's Gisele Bundchen!

And this is the reason she's our modern day supermodel. Gisele Bundchen lets it all hang out in a photoshoot shot by Mario Testino in Miami this week.

I find it odd that, not one female assistant on hand to touch up her buttocks...sex object anyone?

Gisele Bundchen Down Under

Gisele Bundchen is in Australia this week promoting her Impanema Footwear Collection. During her stay she visited various tourist spots including a Wildlife Sanctuary where she got friendly with our little native Koalas.

Gisele wore a casual grey knit, jeans, extra long scarf, rugged hair and some cool sunglasses during her visit to the Melbourne sanctuary.

Oh and if your wondering why you can't see her legs in any of these pics, is because i cut them off (not literally)...because...well...Gisele has legs to die for...and i wanted to spare you all that pain ( i know, I'm considerate aren't I?)
Little Gisele Trivia: When Gisele first entered the modelling scene, she was faced with immense pressure to have a nose job as it was considered to big. However, after consulting with her father, she refused to under go the procedure, and now Gisele's nose is one of the most requested looks for those undergoing rhinoplasty. Just goes to show...always listen to your parents!
