Christopher Kane's Cosmic Wonders, Sorta-Ugly Shoes, Death by Hamburger

I'm watching Modern Family and the Glee-ness is of this "Flash Mob" thing is scaring me. And again, Manny is da best.

This morning at like 7:00 am I was on Net-A-Porter and came across this amazing silk-chiffon biker jacket by Christopher Kane. The fabric is printed with stars and the galaxy and other cosmic things. It is AMAZING. I love how the delicate silk is accented with the "edgier" zippers and grommets that usually adorn leather jackets. And the color! So ravishing.
!!!

I also found these shoes on uglyshoes.com that could potentially be trendy and clever, but could also elicit gasps of contempt.
People will think there is gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe until you take another step and the pink stuff turns out to be the heel!

It's kind of mind blowing.

And speaking of food (if gum is even considered a food), here is a photo taken by David Lachapelle that made me happy.

Also, in every blog I apparently have to include something about Cole Mohr so here are photos of little Coleman. I'm so scary except not really because I got the pictures off Fashion Indie. I did not actually break into Cole's apartment (which happens to be located at 116 East 8th St. lawlawlawl jayplay I don't actually know his address) to steal the photos along with a lock of his hair to perform voodoo with.

The other CK

When the Christopher Kane troop marched down the runway at the Fall 2007 RTW show, they did it in pride. Buckles, Crystals, Studs, leather and heavy armoury were a small portion of the wonderfully extravagant designs posed by Mr Kane. So extravagant in fact, that perhaps only those who had reached "Style Icon" status could pull on and pull it off with ease.
Yet his looks have morphed beautifully from the runway to reality, with a legion of fans including Paris Vogue Editor Carine Roitfeld, Vogue Nippon creative consultant Anna Dello Russo and according to sales records at Browns London, the pieces were flying off the racks.
Spring 2008/2009 fashions shows brought along with it many stylish women, including Erika Kurihara, who donned a Spring 07 Kane velvet dress. Although her look is very similar to the runway look, leaving aside the boots and Longchamp bag, she personifies a softer almost saccharine image, which reflects the truly versatile nature of Kane's collection.

When (or if) the day comes, in my life where budget is no longer a factor, then Christopher Kane's pieces will stand alongside Balmain, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Givency, MaxMara and Balenciaga in my futuristic wardrobe fantasies.

P.S, the Jeremy Scott for Longchamp Stomp bag is really stomping the parisian pavements of late...

Zips Zips all types of Zips

Ever since the Christopher Kane dresses had such an impact in the fashion circuit for their revival of the 80's through the use of very obvious zippers going down body hugging bandage dress', many designers have jumped on board and adorned many of their garments with zippers. From mini dresses, to raincoats to jumpsuits the zipper trend hit it big.

Three Women, Three Looks, One Designer!

Christopher Kane made a splash with his 80's inspired bandage dresses last season and since then many fashion insiders and celebrities have been seen wearing his pieces. These include French Vogue Editor Carine Roitfied(left) as well as Japan Vogue editor Anna Dello Russo (middle). Christopher Kane designed an abundant array of bandage style dress to suit every shape, however Victoria Beckham (right) seemed to have a problem picking the right style making the dress look extremely trashy, just as she does with ALOT of her other outfits.

Victoria Beckham in a Christopher Kane Dress

On the weekend Victoria Beckham was out with her husband David Beckham wearing a new season Christopher Kane dress. This outfit has raised alot of Criticism about her taste and style..but i seriously don't know what all the fuss is about??

I think she has the perfect body to pull of this bandage dress and the colour looks lovely and unique with a hot pink zip down the middle.

Websites have been saying things like "if i had a mother that looked like her, i would be having seizures too" in reference to Victoria's second son who suffers from epilepsy. Nothing was left uncommented from her "botox facial expressions" to her "hideous short blonde hair".

I love this dress and on Victoria Beckham too. She has a great personality, sense of humour, she is a wonderful mother who doesn't have a nanny, shes been faithful to Beckham for along time even with all his behind the scenes action. Her style is so individual, sexy, and she doesn't follow what other celebs wear and i think thats worth acknowledging.
