Andrej for Dazed & Confused

Andrej's latest editorial is photographed by Anthony Maule for the April 2011 issue of Dazed & Confused. The conceptual shoot is futuristic and experimental think gigantic sculptural accessories made out of metal, some too crazy to imagine even Lady Gaga wearing. Feast your eyes on this guyszs:

Though I love Andrej's androgyny, it's a nice change to see him featured in an editorial that's not focusing on his ambiguous gender.

Tomorrow morning I'm leaving for upstate New York. My Spring vacation will not be spent on a tropical island. Instead, I will be devoting three days to a place about 10 degrees colder than New York. FUN FACT I actually like cold weather more than warm.
just hangin' in the snow... daz mah jam

though Kate Moss is amazing I don't do beaches.

So if I don't post for a few days, you'll know why.

Fashion's New Darlings are Not So Darling

I'm probably not qualified to have an official "muse," but if I was, I would definitely name Andrej Pejic and Rick Genest as mine. They are relatively new forces in the fashion industryAndrej known for his beautiful androgynous looks, and Rick for his full-body tattoos, meant to make him look like a skeleton. Andrej was signed to New York's DNA Models in late 2010 and was booked for both male and female Jean Paul Gaultier runway shows. In fact, Gaultier designed his Fall 2011 menswear show entirely around Andrej. Now, Andrej is booking campaigns and editorials for equally esteemed designers and magazines. Andrej can look so amazingly beautiful that you can't always be sure that he is a manbut most of the time, you don't care. Andrej is a fantastical mash of male and female, and that makes him all the more interesting. He's like Bill Kaulitz minus the weird music and screaming 12 year old fangirls, and also 1,000 times more alluring.

Rick Genest is another rising star in the fashion industry. After catching the eye of Nicola Formichetti, the creative director at Thierry Mugler, he was cast for the Fall 2011 Mugler runway show, as well as the embodiment of evil in Lady Gaga's video for "Born This Way." Rick was then photographed by Mariano Vivanco (and styled by Formichetti) for Vogue Hommes Japan. Some sources say that Rick is a male model, and though he walked the Mugler show, he is not signed to an agency and does not consider himself a model. But who knows what will happen once Rick gains even more recognition...Ford contract, holla!

They both inspire me.
