Crafting! And Pre-Fall 2011

I am in the process of customizing a plain canvas tote bag. I've painted the base and straps white, sewed this plasticized-shimmery-floral print fabric over the pocket, and doodled in Sharpie on parts of the straps. I guess I'm just having a simple time, crafting like Amy Sedaris and poor people. Hardy har.

I also feel a longing in my heart for Jason Wu's Pre-Fall 2011 collection. Trousers! Skinny pants! Color-blocking and clean lines! 

 There's something easy and effortless about pairing a pair of well-tailored skinny pants with simple black pumps. Maybe it's just the model. Look at those jambes!

I going on an Avril Lavigne binge. WhatWHATwhat? My ears just want to hear the beautiful angst-y sounds of "My Happy Ending" and "Complicated."
