Joe S�nchez is a Spain-based brand founded in 1973. They started designing sandals and cowboy boots. In the Eigthies they began to export their designs to Germany. I recently bought a pair of their boots, and I am so happy that I get in touch with them to have this interview. If you like it, don't bother to look for a distribution website because they don't sell online, yet!

Joe S�nchez es una marca espa�ola (Alicante) fundada en 1973. Comenzaron dise�ando sandalias y botas camperas. En los ochenta comenzaron a exportar a Alemania sus dise�os. Recientemente he comprado unas botas de esta marca, y estoy tan contenta con el resultado que me he puesto en contacto con ellos para hacerles esta entrevista. *Patterns and leader for a pair of boots - Alicante - Spain
A- Do you look for sources of inspiration or you just design the shoes taking into account only what is practical?
JS- We look for sources of inspiration but following the trends, like the horse-riding boots, but always with our personal view.

A- Which are the main trends in shoes for this winter?
JS- Biker boots, mountain boots and horse riding boots, in a high quality leather and with a femenine touch

A- Do you design only a collection per season?
JS- Normally we design one collection, but from time to time we also design special shoes for some clients.

A- Where do you buy the leather for the shoes?

JS-In the international market, depending on the product we are looking for, and being aware always of quality and price.

A-Do you guarentee the leather used in your shoes is a quality one?

JS-Of course, all the leather we use, for the shoes and boots and also for their linings.

A-Do you think a product sold as "made in Spain" has a plus of quality?

JS-The "Made in Spain" is a added value that an intelligent and discerning consumer appreciates each day more, many consumers are now realising that paying more and getting more quality is worth it.

A-What do you think is the most important when you want to buy a pair of boots?

JS-For us, the most important is that the boots would be made of a good leather, also the last is very important, and the personal taste, which is very important.

A-What would you recommend us for taking care of the boots?

JS-After using them, you should put a ball made of paper in their toe caps, if they get wet, you should let them to get dry, and then, hydrating and nourishing with a colourless cream. A good piece of advice is not using always the same boots, so alternate.

A-�Buscan fuentes de inspiraci�n o dise�an el calzado en base a lo que es pr�ctico?

JS-Se buscan fuentes de inspiraci�n pero siguiendo un poco las tendencias como las botas Biker y las botas de montar, siempre imprimiendo nuestro toque personal.

A-�Cu�les son las principales tendencias para este invierno en calzado?

JS-Botas biker, botas de monta�a y de montar con pieles de mucha calidad y con un toque femenino.

A-�Dise�an una sola colecci�n con un eje com�n, o hacen diferentes tipos de botas para clientes dispares?

JS-Se suele dise�ar una sola colecci�n aunque puntualmente se suele hacer alg�n dise�o especifico para alg�n cliente.

A-�D�nde compran la piel, y m�s importante, en qu� se basan?

JS-En el mercado internacional, dependiendo del tipo de art�culo que se busque, cuidando siempre la calidad y la relaci�n calidad precio.

A-�Garantizan que la piel que utilizan para su calzado es de calidad?

JS-Por supuesto toda la piel que usamos tanto para piel como para forro es de primera calidad.

A-�Creen que el made in Spain aporta un plus de garant�a -(por contraponerlo a las botas de Zara y otras cadenas que son todas Made in China)-?

JS-El Made in Spain es un valor a�adido que el consumidor inteligente y exigente aprecia cada d�a m�s, con el tiempo muchos consumidores se dan cuenta de que es mejor pagar m�s porque el producto fabricado en Espa�a lo vale.

A-�Qu� dir�an ustedes que es lo m�s importante que hay que mirar a la hora de comprarse unas botas?

JS-Para nosotros lo mas importante es una piel, una buena horma y por supuesto que sienten bien, el gusto de cada una es muy personal.

A-�Qu� recomienda a la hora de cuidar unas botas de piel, para que duren m�s?

JS-Despu�s de cada uso ponerle una bola de papel en las punteras, si se mojan dejarlas secar bien y luego hidratar y nutrir bien con una crema incolora otra pauta es no usar todos los d�as las mismas botas ir alternando con otros zapatos.
