Please, just DON'T

I am not very fond of dressing up. Despite sometimes it's funny, I don't get the aim of looking worse than you normally do. The best example is Gisele B. I really admire her work as a model, and she is this perfect woman, who looks between a cheap whore -sorry for that word- and a crazy girl. Is that even a fancy dress? I am not really sure... The second example is more pathetic, yes it's Roberto Cavalli playing Karl Lagerfeld -I guess when Karl suffered overweight-. At least he assumed by that -I am just guessing- that they cannot be compare. We really don't do Halloween here, I mean, it's starting know but there is not an ancient tradition of celebrating that, so I just want to say all of you, PLEASE, be clever when choosing your fancy dress for tonight;)!

No me apasiona realmente disfrazarme. Aunque a veces puede ser divertido, no entiendo el af�n por buscar estar m�s feo de lo normal. El mejor ejemplo para ilustrar esto es la gran Gisele. Su trabajo como modelo es incre�ble, y casi con seguridad, es la mejor modelo de la d�cada actual. Sin embargo, en esta foto est� entre una pu** barata y una mujer loca. Y tengo mis dudas de que eso sea realmente un disfraz. El segundo ejemplo es m�s pat�tico. S�, ese es Roberto Cavalli disfrazado de Karl Lagerfeld -supongo que iba de cuando Karly estaba rellenito-. Por lo menos, as� Cavalli ha asumido -quiero pensar- que no pueden ser comparados de ninguna manera. Aqu� en Espa�a no tenemos esa tradici�n de celebrar Halloween como en otros pa�ses -v�ase USA o UK- pero ya est� comenzando... y desde aqu�, solo quer�a decir, por favor, sed un poco inteligentes eligiendo modelito para esta noche!!

The bikini is the greatest exponent of the rule �less is more�. The bikini has this name after an atomic bomb testing site on a remote Pacific atoll called Bikini. One more time, was in Europe where the bikini became popular. Officially, the first time the bikini appeared in a fashion event was at a poolside show at the Piscine Molitor in Paris on July 5, in 1946, to the dismay of more conservative bathers. It was introduced by designer Louis R�ard. He wasn't able to find a model who dare to wear the bikini, and its debut was on a stripper, Micheline Bernardini.

Though a success in postwar France, American girls deemed the bikini too risky until Hollywood stars like Rita Hayworth or Ava Gardner were photographed wearing them. Nowadays, wearing a bikini has not the same meaning that had when first appeared. The bikini represented a social leap involving moral concerns and sexual attitudes, and today bikini is the garment that most of the girls use to go to the beach and get tanned.

Debe su nombre a un lugar en el que se probaban bombas at�micas, y que est� situado en un remoto atol�n del Pac�fico, llamado Bikini. Una vez m�s, fue en Europe donde el bikini se volvi� popular. Oficialmente, la primera vez que un bikini apareci� en una evento de moda fue en un desfile en la piscina Molitor, en Par�s, el cinco de julio de 1946, para el desmayo de los ba�istas m�s conservadores. Louis R�ard fue el dise�ador que lo llev� a cabo, y para dar a conocer su nueva creaci�n tuvo que contratar a una stripper, ya que ni siquiera las modelos se atrev�an a pon�rselo.

A pesar del �xito que pronto logr� en Francia, las chicas americanas lo consideraron demasiado arriesgado hasta que estrellas del cine como Rita Hayworth o Ava Gardner fueron fotografiadas llevando uno. Hoy en d�a llevar un bikini no tiene el mismo significado que ten�a cuando apareci� por primera vez. El bikini represent� anta�o un salto social que conllevaba una gran carga moral, as� como una actitud provocativa, sexy. Hoy en d�a el bikini es simplemente la prenda que la mayor�a de las chicas usan para ir a la playa y ponerse morenas.

and surprisingly, she is not known for taking drugs, being anorexic, or other terrible adjectives which normally surround models. Moreover, she is an example for thousands of girls around the world for her supportive attitude with charity.


Claudia Schiffer recently said: "Supermodels, like we once were, don't exist any more.", I agree. When I asked my friends (who are not interested in fashion) if they know Gemma Ward or Caroline Trentini they have no idea, but when you said, Gisele they already know who are you talking about, basically, this is the difference.
