Winter is great because you don't have to dress like a teenage stripper in order to stop sweating. Also you get to wear chunky sweaters and soft knits, plus boots with knee socks! Cashmere and shearling and faux fur that feels real! And peppermint bark with hot chocolate and huge marshmallows from Williams-Sonoma! In summer, you can't layer your Rodarte cardigan and Proenza Schouler nordic sweater with your Alexander McQueen skull-printed scarf. In the summer, it's weird if you ask for a cup of chicken noodle soup and a pumpkin spice latte (not that I drink coffee anyway). I guess I could go on and on, but instead I made a set on Polyvore of a few of my favorite Fall/Winter pieces.
As you've probably guessed, the purple/blue cardigan is by Rodarte and the nordic white/black sweater is by Proenza Schouler. The faux-fur coat is Lanvin for H&M, ring by Lanvin, wedges by Camilla Skovgaard, jeans by Superfine, and fur clutch by Michael Kors. The nail polish is a limited edition khaki set by Chanel, and the picture in the upper left corner is of Liu Wen.
Ugly shoe time!
These flipper-heels are by Belgian artist Paul Schietekat.
SourceAlso, is it possible for a flower to get a cold because I think this one's nose is running.
