The farewell of the skinnies

Is this a farewell? Skinny pants have been around for years and they are leaving quietly now. First in the catwalks, then in the streets.. Slowly the hegemony which in other time seemed invincible is been destroyed by the early adapters. The question is, would they get their own way?
