The poncho is a rectangular piece of clothing made of sheep, llama, alpaca or vicuna wool, with a slit in the centre to introduce the head. There are many different designs and colours, and normally it varies depending on the region and the people who used to wear it. Its outline can have fringes, trimming or stripes.
Ponchos hold an important part of Latin America's history. From Argetina to Mexico, they have been during centuries the coat of the Argentinian gauchos, Indians, Peruvians... Currently it is used by the farmers and also in the cities.
Chlo showed this amazing one in the S/S collection last month in Paris. Simple and minimalist, a must-have for this winter, even if it's spring/summer collection
