As I blog in front of my space heater for extra warmth on this extra cold day, Gap reveals it's early Spring 2010 collection. While I don't have any intentions of actually wearing these clothes yet in these frigid conditions, I don't mind shopping them online.
Floral cardigan - $44.50 I love cardigans, but this floral number will add a punch of fun with the pattern and colors. The blue-green one is really nice, too.
Button cuff roll-up T - $19.50 I need t-shirts. I NEED them. I can't find any I like. Gap typically has nice ones. I like the cuff details on this number.
The ultimate cardigan - $49.50 I'm a cardigan-olic. You can't have enough, really, and this number is available in a plethora of colors.
Button detail boatneck T - $22.50 Like I said...I NEED t-shirts. I love the boatneck cut and button details on this one. I have a couple from a few years ago with long sleeves and those little shoulder buttons and they are some of my faves.
Vespa South Africa has built a Stretch Scooter which can seat four people, and has two rear ends of the scooter put one after the other. Vespa called it "a family car on two wheels and kids will look forward to going to school on it. You can be the designated driver and can still park outside the front door of the party". via

apart from (what to wear on) NYE there is only one thing on the mind of the fashion-conscious berliner - berlin fashion week. in just 3 short weeks, designers from all over will present their latest collections while international fashion crowds sip on mini prosecco bottles discussing which after parties to best attend.
already one of the most talked about shows is HUGO BOSS's BOSS Black Fashion Showon jan 21 2010. this one is actually exiting for one more reason than the actual collection: on their official facebook fanpage, Hugo Boss has called out a modeling competition where they pick one guy and one girl to run in the Hugo Boss show during berlin fashion week. applying is only possible via facebook (right HERE) and is likely to be a breakthrough chance for the winners as the show will be streamed live on facebook and there'll be quite some press covering the event. get in there if you have any modeling ambitions! and tell your friends!
for everyone who cannot attend the show in person, i'll be there reporting back to y'all. better still - i'll be hanging out at the after party snapping snaps (until they take away my camera or kick me out).
So...I haven't been shopping. Not. At. All. Not really in stores and not really online, save an occasional browse or pass-through. I'm trying to save money for other things (like our new house) and can't really put money towards clothes - ESPECIALLY not when I already have so much I can barely contain it all!
However, I think some window shopping here or there would be healthy and help me see how people are styling clothes so I can style what I already have. I will be making purchases once in awhile, but not like I used to.
Lately, I've been craving dresses. I've decided I need a single red statement dress for holiday parties. I browsed online today in search of dresses and though I didn't find any red ones, I did find lots of other pretty ones.

I loved The Karate Kidwhich was released back in 1985 and I still do, so I was pretty perplexed when I heard that there was a new Karate Kid film on the block. After the huge success of Karate Kid two other follow ups were produced but they were all car crashes. There was even The Next Karate Kid starring a fresh faced Hilary Swank but that was a huge flop. So when I spotted a link in Twitter for the trailer of the new movie I was not expecting much. Take my words the all new Karate Kid looks like a lot of fun. It stars Jaden Smith better known as son of Will Smith and co-star of The Pursuit of Happyness. He plays Dre Parker whose perfect life is interrupted when he is uprooted to Bejing after his actress mother, played by Taraji P. Henson lands a role in a big movie. However things do not go smoothly for Dre when he makes an enemy out of the school bully who proceeds to make his life a living hell. Totally isolated he has no one to turn to till he meets his messiah in the form of Mr Han played by Jackie Chan. Mr Han introduces him to the philosophy of Kung Fu and teaches him how to empower himself. The film is produced by Will Smith and Jada Pinkett themselves and I say they have done a cracking job.
The Karate Kid is released in the US in June 2010.
