Holiday Jewelry - Things That Sparkle

What girl doesn't love a good "sparkly", especially around the holidays? I'm a sucker for anything that sparkles...not literally, but for the most part, this is true. There are lots of fun jewelry designs out for the purchasing and here are some of my faves:

J Crew Crystal chain necklace - $55 - A great basic, and super-versatile necklace. The simplicity of the design lets you dress her down while the golden-wrapped-crystals let you dress her up.

Betsey Johnson Layered Heart Necklace (via Nordstrom) - $48 - This fun & flirty necklace would easily dress up your favorite fitted tee or play up your basic LBD.

1. Advent

Happy 1. Advent everyone. To celebrate the start of the Advent season I spent the day with my family, lighing the first candle of the Advent Wreath, decorating the house and eating freshly backed christmas cookies.

S for Saturday and Snowboarding

On Saturday I went snowboarding with my friends. It was only my second time on a snowboard (I used to ski) but I think I did pretty well with the good instructions from my boyfriend. But now my entire body is so sore that I can hardly move. I fell so many times on my ass, my arm, my knees...I got bruises everywhere and the worst muscle soreness I've experienced in my life so far...haha. So now I'm going to spend the rest of the evening in bed, watching Gossip Girl.

The weather in the mountains was absolutely perfect <3

Enjoy in Ruffles

Ruffles have been popular on the runways for many seasons now, and this fall is no exception. In heavy fabric they can look much like a European sculpture, and they exude femininity in soft fabrics. Soft ruffles on a shirt are a perfect look for any woman to wear during the day; in general, recommend keeping it simple - like the subtle tops and jackets by Bill Blass, Diane von Furstenberg, and Givenchy or our own Forever Young vest (which can be worn well under a cardigan). For night, let the ruffles run free!
